New York City

At my high school, the senior trip is to New York City. In 2016, it was my turn to hop on the bus and head to the big apple. Below you will find the best moments from that trip. Enjoy!

Grand Central Station

Of course, we had to visit Grand Central Station. Our tour guide for the day guided us through the city and showed us many beautiful spots but Grand Central Station was so busy and full of such beautiful architecture. I thought Berri-UQAM was busy but this subway station was a whole other world.

Times Square

The next stop after our mini tour was Times Square where we were left to roam for a few hours. My friends and I walked to TGIFriday’s and then entered some of the stores to do some shopping. We are got matching bracelets at American Eagle Outfitters to remember our trip.

Rainy New York City
Olivia Lafreniere

The next day, it was quite rainy but we were headed for our ferry ride to Liberty Island to visit the Statue of Liberty. The picture shows the rainy and foggy view of New York. I did not include a picture of Lady Liberty herself because I’m sure you’ve seen it before.

Top of the Rock
Olivia Lafreniere

The final image of my trip is of New York City from Top of the Rock. This viewing point is located on the roof of NBC Studios. I highly recommend going to this viewpoint as opposed to going to the top of the Empire State Building because then it would not be in your pictures! Visiting NBC Studios is also very worth it especially if you watch their shows. Depending on the time of day, you might get to visit the set of some of your favourite shows! The gift shop is a go to for NBC merch and toys.

This three-day trip was a great way to close off my high school and a great way to bond even more with the friends I had made in the last five years. Although we had rain and quite a long bus journey, it was very worth it and I would gladly go again!
