Australia

For my eighteenth birthday, my father and I went to Australia to visit his sister (and my godmother) and her little family. We had been planning this trip for 10 years and could not wait! We travelled for about 48 hours before finally arriving to Sydney. On the third plane (the 15 hour one) we got to see such beauty in the sky. It was worth all the sleep we did not get.

The first beach we went to was the infamous Bondi Beach. It was an amazing sunny day and perfect for a day at the beach. We played soccer (or football in Australia), tanned in the sun, ate ice cream from an ice cream truck, walked along the boardwalk where we saw some amazing graffiti.

My dad and I spent one whole day in Sydney alone. We stayed at a hotel and right in front of it was the Chinese Botanical Garden. This was by far the prettiest botanical garden I had ever seen. We then walked through china town and ate amazing dumplings and soup. We could see the chefs make the dumpling from our table which was very interesting.

On our trip, we visited many beaches but Manly Beach was my favourite. The beach is extremely long and has some greenery around it. There are beach volleyball courts and surfing lessons, which I took. Unfortunately, I will not be a professional surfer anytime soon. Once you cross the street, you fall onto the main street where surf shops and little boutiques are open and all sorts of street performers are present. We ate some amazing gelato!

I had an amazing trip with my dad and I cannot wait to go back one day. It is definitely a must-see destination with some of the most beautiful landscapes and beaches around the world.
