In summer 2016, I went on a road trip with some of my closest friends to Quebec City. We stayed in a hotel outside of the city to save on the price and drove around in my car.
On the first day, we headed to the Parc des Chutes-de-la-Chaudière to visit the waterfalls. We hiked the trail in the woods and walked down the wooden stairs to the ground level. Here you could walk on sand and large rocks to get as close as you wanted to the falls. A small and scary bridge connected both sides of the waterfall that made for great pictures. We then had a little picnic by the water.
The next day we headed to Old Quebec to visit the Chateau Frontenac. We were lucky to have such a hot and sunny day for a nice walk across the pavilion. We also watched some street performers and ate at Chic Shack on the terrasse. We had some amazing milkshakes and burgers in the sun right in front of the Chateau.
We then headed onto the main street and walked into a few little boutiques. We listened to some more street performers and made our way to a little gelato shop. Walking along, we were looking at the menus of the restaurants on the street and decided on Sapristi a very hipster looking Italian restaurant. We had a great supper and talked all through the evening surrounded by the plants and fairy lights in the back balcony.
